2. Role
We're hiring a Clinical Operations Associate to provide high-volume tactical execution support across our clinical operations. You'll handle day-to-day routine tasks across three core workstreams—revenue cycle management (RCM), provider licensing and credentialing, and provider operations—while the Associate Manager, Clinical Operations, handles strategic implementation, complex problem-solving, and process optimization.
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to build broad clinical operations expertise in a fast-growing telehealth environment. The ideal candidate excels at systematic execution of established processes and thrives on managing high-volume workflows. You'll work under the direction of the Director of Clinical Operations, with day-to-day guidance from the Associate Manager who handles complex issues and provides process direction
Twentyeight Health is mostly remote, and has a headquarters in Brooklyn, NY. It would be ideal for this role to be able to work from the Brooklyn, NY office weekly.
3. Manager
You will report directly to the Director of Clinical Operations.
4. Responsibilities
- Revenue Cycle Management - Tactical Execution
- Execute daily claims workflows in Candid Health following established protocols, including collecting payments from payers
- Monitor and correct routine denials by payer and reason code, escalating complex cases to the Associate Manager
- Compile documentation and submit standard appeals as directed, and generate weekly appeals status reports
- Update payer contract and provider credentialing information in systems
- Provider Licensing & Credentialing - Administrative Support
- Support routine license application submissions and renewals (as needed) following the provided checklists and templates
- Maintain and update provider credentialing files in CAQH and state portals with current documentation
- Track application deadlines, send reminders, and process routine correspondence with state boards, escalating complex inquiries to the Associate Manager
- Organize and file credentialing documentation for audit readiness
- Provider Operations - Day-to-Day Coordination
- Respond to routine provider questions and requests, escalating complex or urgent issues to the Associate Manager
- Maintain provider availability schedules and execute data entry for onboarding documentation
- Track and distribute routine operational communications to the provider network
- Organize provider files and maintain accurate records in provider management systems
- Reporting, Documentation & Process Support
- Compile standardized monthly operational reports (RCM metrics, credentialing status, provider data) for the Director and Associate Manager
- Maintain organized documentation libraries, including SOPs, process guides, and tracking templates
- Execute routine quality checks on data accuracy and support process improvement initiatives with research and data gathering
- Perform additional related tasks as needed
5. Requirements
We are looking for exceptional candidates who have:
- 1-2 years of experience in healthcare operations, healthcare administration, or clinical support with demonstrated ability to execute routine processes accurately and efficiently
- Strong process execution skills with the ability to follow established workflows, checklists, and standard operating procedures
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with experience managing high-volume data entry and tracking multiple deadlines
- Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets for data management, tracking, and report generation
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to respond to routine inquiries and escalate appropriately
- Strong preference for ability to work in-person in Brooklyn, NY weekly
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to RCM, credentialing, or healthcare operations workflows
- Familiarity with healthcare platforms (billing systems, credentialing databases, EHRs)
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology or insurance fundamentals
- Experience in telehealth or digital health environments
- Background in women's health or reproductive healthcare services
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field

8. Compensation & Benefits
- Attractive compensation package
- Total cash compensation up to $79k
- Base compensation between $65-75k
- Performance-based cash bonus of up 5%
