JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing timely reconciliations, supporting the month-end and year-end close processes, and assisting with the development and improvement of accounting policies. The Senior Accountant will also collaborate with other teams and ensure compliance with internal controls.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepare and post journal entries for recurring, adjusting, and accrual transactions
  • Perform account reconciliations for bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules and record depreciation entries
  • Maintain lease schedules in accordance with ASC 842 to ensure proper compliance of all health center leases and record amortization entries
  • Reconcile and record all payroll entries
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Analyze general ledger accounts and investigate variances or unusual activity
  • Support preparation of financial statements and management reports
  • Maintain documentation and supporting schedules for audit and compliance purposes
  • Assist in the development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments to obtain necessary financial data and ensure accuracy
  • Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned
Requirements

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years of accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Experience with month-end close in a multi-entity environment
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and process automation tools
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
