JOB SUMMARY:
The Clinical Area Manager is a licensed clinician responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across a defined region of primary care centers. This role ensures consistent execution of PeopleOne Health’s care model through oversight of clinical quality, operational efficiency, and staff development. As a regional leader, the Clinical Area Manager partners with center leadership and the Regional Medical Director to align day-to-day practices with long-term strategic goals, ensuring clinical excellence and an exceptional member experience.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- This position provides direct supervision to Center Managers and indirect oversight of clinical staff within assigned centers. Responsibilities include performance management, coaching, and operational accountability, with input into hiring decisions and corrective action planning.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provide regional oversight for a designated cluster of health centers and lead the performance and development of Center Managers and clinical staff.
- Conduct monthly Performance Management Interviews (PMIs) with Center Managers to review KPIs, address opportunities, and set improvement goals.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth across the region.
- Ensure alignment with PeopleOne Health's mission, values, and care model in all centers.
- Monitor clinical performance indicators, including quality metrics, productivity benchmarks, and regulatory compliance.
- Partner with center leaders to implement corrective action plans in response to performance gaps, audit findings, or compliance issues.
- Investigate and follow up on patient complaints, incidents, and quality concerns, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
- Participate in the development, review, and rollout of clinical policies and procedures.
- Ensure all clinical and administrative practices are aligned with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
- Partner with the Regional Medical Director to promote clinical excellence, ensure adherence to evidence-based practices, and identify opportunities for clinical staff development and provider engagement.
- Ensure timely follow-up and resolution of member complaints, service recovery needs, or quality-of-care concerns, with a focus on protecting the member experience and supporting PeopleOne Health’s Net Promoter Score (NPS) and Experience Index (EXI) goals.
- Support and develop Center Managers in their leadership of Team Leads and Medical Assistants, reinforcing accountability structures.
Other Duties:
- Collaborate with the clinical operational leadership team to design and execute regional strategic initiatives.
- Identify and resolve systemic or center-specific operational issues that impact care delivery or patient experience.
- Provide hands-on support for center launches, expansions, and integrations, ensuring smooth transitions and consistent execution of workflows.
- Serve as a key communication conduit between clinical operations leadership, direct care teams, and Center Managers, ensuring consistency and clarity of messaging.

- Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, changing healthcare environment.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS :
- Active RN, LPN, or ARRT certification/licensure in good standing required, or Certified Medical Assistant with 5 years of experience or more.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the assigned region.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a clinical setting, including at least 2 years in a leadership role such as Clinic Manager, Charge Nurse, or Area/Regional Supervisor.
- Proven track record in leading multi-site operations, driving clinical quality improvement, and mentoring frontline leadership.
- Experience supporting ambulatory care, urgent care, or primary care preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs); experience with eClinicalWorks is a plus.
