JOB SUMMARY:

The Training Manager provides leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for the Training function across all markets. This is a working manager role responsible for both people leadership and hands-on development of training materials, programs, and enterprise education initiatives. The Training Manager oversees Clinical Training Specialists, Instructional Design, and Training Coordination functions, etc. ensuring standardized onboarding, regulatory compliance, scalable curriculum design, and high-quality training delivery across new and existing health centers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Training Strategy & Governance

  • Develop and execute the enterprise training strategy.
  • Standardize onboarding programs for Medical Assistants, Providers, Care Navigators, and Integrated Care team roles.
  • Establish competency frameworks and validation standards
  • Ensure alignment of training with regulatory requirements and scope-of-practice laws
  • Partner with Clinical Leadership, Quality, and Operations to identify skill gaps and training priorities
  • Create scalable training models to support new market launches

Working Manager Responsibilities

  • Develop curriculum, facilitator guides, job aids, e-learning modules, and competency tools
  • Lead major training initiatives (e.g., new workflows, EMR updates, regulatory changes)
  • Support new center openings through curriculum development and deployment
  • Conduct training sessions (virtual and on-site) as needed
  • Participate in mock clinic simulations and go-live readiness planning
  • Operational & Regulatory Oversight
  • Ensure onboarding timelines meet operational ramp-up needs
  • Monitor training completion and competency validation metrics
  • Mitigate compliance risk through standardized documentation and audit support
  • Partner with Quality & Safety teams to address training-related incident trends
  • Support regulatory readiness and policy implementation
  • Team Leadership & Capacity Management
  • Manage workload across training team members to prevent burnout
  • Develop annual training roadmap aligned with growth goals
  • Establish training KPIs (onboarding completion, remediation rates, audit trends, etc.)
  • Provide coaching and professional development for training staff
  • Build succession planning within the training function
  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment
  • Partner with Department leaders, Area Managers, Medical Directors, and Center Managers to assess training needs
  • Collaborate with Clinical Apps and IT on system-based training
  • Support enterprise initiatives impacting clinical workflows
  • Ensure communication and training plans are integrated prior to operational changes
Requirements

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS :

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, allied health, education, or related field is required
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Education, or related discipline preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of clinical or healthcare operations experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in clinical training or education
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting multi-site healthcare operations
  • Experience in new market or center launch environments
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems and curriculum development platforms

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move freely throughout clinical environments.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds (training equipment, materials).
  • Ability to travel between clinic sites, including overnight stays.
  • Travel to health center locations as needed (estimated 50% - 75%). May require an irregular schedule that changes weekly and monthly based on travel needs. May be expected to work some weekends and an occasional holiday.
  • Prolonged periods working on a computer.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
Salary Description
$90,348.00 - 135,522.00/ year
