JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Health Coach to join our growing service team. Reporting to the Health Coach Manager, the Health Coach is responsible for providing and supporting all aspects of the coaching engagement for select company clients. Health Coach work primarily focuses on the member-facing and client relationship, but may include participation in orientations, portal maintenance, member outreach, reporting, carrier relationships, and overall support of the wellness program. The Health Coach may periodically join team meetings and trainings as well as appropriate committees and task forces. This position is mainly remote work. Coaching will be a combination of in-person, telephonic, and virtual. Hours vary depending on the client’s coaching need.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provides guidance and support to a client’s employees to help them understand and utilize their wellness program and company health care benefits.
- Guides care by providing education, outreach, options, advocacy, and assistance with navigating the healthcare system.
- Provides support to the Health Coach Manager and other Client Success Team members regarding client’s wellness programming, healthcare system navigation, and employee benefits.
- Maintains and follows Population Health Management Strategy protocols, including a focus on disease and condition management, using judgment and discernment.
- Utilizes technology, data, and other internal information to assist employees in obtaining the best and most cost-efficient health care for disease and condition management.
- Supports individuals by providing information, encouraging progress, setting goals, and working to address challenges or barriers that arise.
- Provides guidance and support to the Client Success Team through carrier relationships, client relationships, overall support of program implementation, and ongoing maintenance.
- Works independently to assist individuals in achieving their health and wellness goals.
- Creates an environment that is motivating, safe, supportive, non competitive, and non judgmental for client employees.
Other Duties:
- May be required to work outside of “regular” working hours to accommodate client schedules.
- Required to travel to sites within a geographical region or to various locations within a corporately defined area.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Demonstrated ability to use knowledge of basic health, nutrition, and fitness principles and to apply to coaching.
- Ability to apply the principles of behavior change and group facilitation in coaching situations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, provide clear attention to detail, and maintain records.
- Ability to work with diverse groups of people of varying ages, ethnicities, life experience, etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, e-mail, and internet navigation.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Demonstrates professionalism and tact at all times.
- Displays enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
- Understands and adheres to client confidentiality.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS :
- Minimum of 2 years of workplace experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field; Active Certification(s) in fitness, wellness, or related area preferred but not required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Strong knowledge of the health care and insurance industry, specifically benefits administration.
- Experience in wellness coaching preferred.
